A Welcome from the Head of the School

Welcome to Vista Preparatory School!  We look forward to meeting with you and learning more about you.  Although we have tried to make our web site as easy as possible to navigate to access the maximum information about Vista Prep, it can only give you a profile of our school. A personal visit will help you to glean more knowledge about Vista Prep. Please do not hesitate to call us as we would be happy either to answer any questions that you may have and/or to schedule an interview.

Vista Preparatory School is currently located on the second floor of what was once the Smith & Dove Company of Andover.  Historically, this was the first Flax mill in the United States. Now, the staff and students enjoy the classic high ceilings and windows as well as the open-faced brick interiors in a building that has been totally modernized. Physical education classes can be accessed at a fitness center on-site, while the Andover Memorial Hall Library is within a short walking distance.

This educational environment reflects the type of students that we enroll. These are intelligent students from grades K-8 who simply learn differently. For example, some may learn without attending to details, while others will focus on specifics and miss the main idea. Nevertheless, once these children understand, they often progress at very rapid rates. The learning style of our students is often tangential to more traditional methods. Therefore, this often results in these individuals being excluded from the general population. Frequently, they are labeled in direct contrast to their other classmates. At Vista Prep, we have a vibrant supportive community where we accept all and instruct all according to their learning patterns. Differences are acknowledged and enrich the atmosphere of our small school.

There are many more facets to Vista Prep.  If you are going to be in the Merrimack Valley Area, do not hesitate to give us a call. We would be delighted to meet with you.
